Job summary

Workforce Recruiter in Syracuse, NY seeks a Senior Electrical Engineer – Digital Hardware to join a DoD sensing technology team. You will design digital hardware, develop FPGAs, and lead high-speed interfaces in a fast-growing environment.

The role requires a BS in Electrical/Computer Engineering and 5+ years of digital hardware experience, with hands-on lab proficiency and the ability to obtain security clearance. On-site in Syracuse with strong collaboration across disciplines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years of digital hardware design experience.
• Experience with FPGAs, high-speed interfaces, and analogue/digital circuits.
• Hands-on lab experience with oscilloscopes and analyzers; VHDL/Verilog.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills; US Citizenship for clearance.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and development of advanced digital hardware for next-generation products.
• Design multi-layer PCBs, develop schematics, and support board layout activities.
• Architect and develop FPGA solutions using VHDL and/or Verilog on modern Xilinx platforms.
• Perform hardware integration, testing, validation, troubleshooting, and production support.
• Design high-speed digital interfaces, data acquisition systems, digital signal processing (DSP), and communication architectures.
• Develop Python and Bash scripts to automate engineering workflows and improve efficiency.
• Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams throughout the entire product development lifecycle.
