Job summary

EY is seeking a Manager in the Service Delivery Center to balance hands-on software engineering with project leadership. You will guide multidisciplinary teams through design, development, testing, deployment, and production support while remaining close to code and decisions.

You will mentor engineers, manage dependencies, coordinate across time zones, and partner with stakeholders to translate business needs into delivery plans. Travel up to 25% is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
• 6+ years of technology software development experience, including leading project teams or delivery workstreams.
• Hands-on coding with Java and Spring Boot, microservices, and RESTful APIs.
• Experience with at least one modern UI framework, preferably Angular or React, guiding full-stack decisions.
• Experience deploying enterprise apps on a major cloud platform.
• Proficient in CI/CD, source control, testing, and containerized deployments; agile delivery experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end software delivery across planning, design, development, testing, release, and production support.
• Remain hands-on with coding, code reviews, troubleshooting, and technical proofs-of-concept.
• Guide solution design using Java, Spring Boot, RESTful APIs, microservices, and cloud-native patterns.
• Plan and manage Agile delivery, including backlog refinement, sprint planning, and estimation.
• Coordinate work across geographically distributed teams and ensure clear ownership.
• Mentor engineers, provide technical coaching, and support career development.
• Partner with product owners, architects, DevOps, security, and client stakeholders.
• Monitor scope, schedule, quality, risks, and delivery metrics; escalate impediments with actions.
• Promote secure development, CI/CD, observability, and continuous improvement.
• Support data processing and event-driven solutions with Kafka, Spark, Flink, or similar.
