Job summary

RTX in Tucson, AZ is seeking an Electrical Subsystems Digital Principal Engineer to lead digital design efforts for guidance systems, focusing on FPGA-based solutions. The role involves architecture, requirements, integration, and cross-team collaboration with program management and suppliers.

The ideal candidate will have 8+ years in analog/digital/power electronics design, subsystem architecture, and experience with CAM activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and 8+ years of relevant experience
• Experience in analog, digital and power electronics design, integration and production support
• Experience in digital subsystems, systems engineering and circuit card assembly design

Responsibilities

• Lead or support digital design efforts for guidance systems, incl. FPGA-focused designs
• Mentor and collaborate with team members and management
• Coordinate with customers and suppliers; travel up to ~25%
• Contribute to subsystem requirements, test plans and design reviews
• Perform complex hardware design, integration and verification across lifecycle phases
