Job summary

GlobalFoundries U.S. 2 LLC in Essex Junction amends for a Maintenance Technician to monitor, sustain, and improve Fab 9 equipment and processes. The role partners with production teams and area engineers, focusing on troubleshooting and ensuring manufacturing readiness in a cleanroom setting.

Responsibilities include following procedures, performing preventive/corrective maintenance, and communicating updates to Lead Tech or Engineer. Shift flexibility is required for 12-hour rotations.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Degree (or equivalent).
• Experience: 2-year technical degree and 4 years of relevant experience or 2 years of military experience and 4 years of relevant experience or 6 years of relevant experience (automotive repair, HVAC, etc).
• Able to work in a cleanroom environment per semiconductor protocol/requirements.
• English language fluency (Written & Verbal).
• Flexible and willing to work any shift (3-4 days alternating weeks).

Responsibilities

• Follow detailed instructions and procedures to complete tasks.
• Work in a safe and responsible manner per FAB9 EHS&S policies.
• Work independently and with teams in a fast-paced environment.
• Support and engage in training activities.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on equipment as required.
• Monitor, control, and test semiconductor equipment for manufacturing readiness.
• Communicate end-of-shift pass downs and status updates.
