Job summary

GlobalFoundries in Essex Junction (Fab 9) seeks a Maintenance Technician to monitor, sustain, and improve equipment and processes, in partnership with production teams and area engineers. Responsibilities include preventive and corrective maintenance, troubleshooting with mechanical, electronic and PC/software skills, and clear status updates to the Lead Tech or Engineer.

Qualifications

• High School Degree (or equivalent) required.
• Electrical or mechanical experience with a 2-year technical degree and 4+ years of relevant work, or 4+ years in related fields.
• Fluent in English (written & verbal).
• Willing to work flexible shifts (day/night) in a semiconductor environment.
• Basic computer literacy and ability to operate in a cleanroom setting.

Responsibilities

• Follow detailed instructions and procedures to complete tasks.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on equipment.
• Monitor equipment performance and test readiness.
• Communicate status updates to Lead Tech or Engineer.
• Work independently and with teams in a fast-paced environment.
• Support and engage in training activities.
• Maintain accurate event documentation and end-of-shift handoffs.
