Qualifications

• 6 years of practical experience with truck and tractor-trailer maintenance.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; vocational or technical certification in vehicle repair preferred.
• Specialized training and experience in the diagnosis/troubleshooting of major components (engines, transmissions, differentials); ASE 608/609 preferred.
• Valid driver’s license required, CDL preferred.

Responsibilities

• Make sure vehicles are maintained and safe for customers.
• Perform preventive maintenance on truck and trailer equipment with minimal supervision and in a timely manner.
• Repair and troubleshoot major components (engines, transmissions, differentials) including replacing assemblies and related parts.
• Keep work area clean and safe.
• Use Penske tools and technologies to log, research and complete repairs including basic diagnostics.
• Learn new skills through Penske’s technician training.
• Take on additional projects as assigned by supervisor.
