Job summary

Penske Truck Leasing Co., L.P. is hiring a Diesel/Vehicle Technician in New Castle, DE. The role focuses on preventative maintenance, minor repairs, and using Penske tools to diagnose and complete repairs.

You’ll work with experienced mentors and receive industry-certified training in a fast-paced shop environment. Candidates should have basic mechanical aptitude, 1–2 years of automotive or diesel repair experience, a valid driver’s license, and a willingness to learn.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; vocational or technical certification preferred.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and 1–2 years of automotive/diesel repair experience preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to use tools.
• Ability to follow instructions and work safely under DOT/OSHA policies.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and ensure vehicles are safe for customers.
• Use Penske tools to log, research, and complete repairs including diagnostics.
• Perform preventative maintenance such as tire rotation and lubrication.
• Learn new skills via Penske training and coaching with your manager.
• Support other projects as assigned by supervisor.
