Job summary

RMA Worldwide in Maryland seeks a Lead Technician to oversee daily maintenance of its luxury motor coaches, minibuses, and commercial vehicles. You will lead the shop, perform advanced diagnostics, mentor technicians, and ensure safety and DOT compliance.

Responsibilities include coordinating repairs, reviewing work quality, maintaining records, and guiding technicians to maximize fleet reliability and readiness for service.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; ASE certs preferred.
• Minimum 5–8 years in heavy-duty diesel or commercial vehicle maintenance.
• Experience leading or mentoring technicians is preferred.
• Strong diagnostic and repair skills on diesel engines, air brakes, HVAC, electrical systems.
• Ability to read wiring diagrams and service manuals; CDL preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily workflow of the maintenance shop and monitor progress.
• Perform advanced diagnostics and repairs on diesel-powered vehicles.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electronic systems.
• Oversee preventive maintenance per DOT regulations and standards.
• Mentor and train technicians to improve skills and shop performance.
• Coordinate repairs with Fleet Maintenance Manager, Dispatch, and Parts.
• Maintain repair orders, maintenance records, and inspection docs.
• Respond to roadside service calls when needed and ensure safety compliance.
