Job summary

RMA Worldwide Chauffeured Transportation in Landover, MD is seeking a dependable Preventive Maintenance Technician/Mechanic to join our Fleet Maintenance team. You’ll perform preventive maintenance on motor coaches, inspections, and repairs to keep vehicles safe and reliable.

This role requires attention to detail, the ability to work independently and in a team, and weekend availability on a rotating schedule.

Qualifications

• Previous automotive, diesel, commercial vehicle, or motor coach maintenance experience preferred.
• Preventive maintenance experience strongly preferred.
• Basic knowledge of vehicle mechanical and electrical systems.
• Ability to safely use shop tools and equipment.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
• Dependable, organized, and able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Must be able to successfully complete applicable pre-employment requirements.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on motor coaches.
• Complete routine inspections and identify potential mechanical or safety concerns.
• Perform oil changes, filter changes, lubrication, and other scheduled maintenance.
• Inspect and service brakes, tires, fluids, belts, hoses, batteries, and other vehicle components.
• Assist with diagnosing and repairing mechanical issues.
• Perform pre- and post-maintenance safety inspections.
• Document completed maintenance and repairs accurately.
• Help ensure vehicles remain compliant with company and DOT safety standards.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe shop environment.
• Communicate vehicle concerns and needed repairs to Fleet leadership.
• Assist with additional fleet maintenance and shop responsibilities as needed.
