Job summary

Waste Pro USA Inc. is seeking an A Technician with strong diagnostic skills for our fleet of refuse and recycling vehicles in the Florida area.

The role involves diagnosing and repairing engine, transmission, brake, suspension, electrical, hydraulic, and body systems across Mack, IHC, Autocar, Heil and McNeilus equipment. You will use factory service manuals, perform safety checks, and ensure paperwork is completed accurately.

Qualifications

3-5 years hands-on experience in the maintenance and repair of medium duty class 8 vehicles and equipment.
Preferably with waste/recycling industry experience.
Clear understanding of OSHA safety requirements for vehicle fleets. Ability to utilize computers for data tracking, communication etc.

Responsibilities

Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, the A Technician will diagnose and repair a fleet of refuse and recycling vehicles.
Maintenance and repair of all aspects of Mack, IHC, Autocar, Heil, McNeilus vehicles and equipment.
Support coworkers in safely and efficiently maintaining and repairing fleet vehicles and equipment.
Completes all required paperwork in a timely and concise manner.
Follows all safety policies and procedures.
Maintains a clean, safe work area in compliance with corporate and OSHA standards.
Uses vehicle computer electronics to interpret failure modes and initiate repairs.
Conducts safety checks on vehicles and equipment.
Performs repairs using Factory Service Manuals.
