Job summary

Waste Pro is hiring Maintenance Technicians in Houston, TX to diagnose and repair engines, transmissions, brakes, suspensions, electrical and hydraulic systems on heavy- and light-duty trucks, with welding and fabrication possible.

The role involves diagnostics for a fleet of refuse and recycling vehicles, maintenance of Mack, IHC, Autocar, Heil, McNeilus equipment, and safe, compliant operation. You will complete paperwork and support safety practices daily.

Qualifications

• Diagnose and repair engines, transmissions, brakes, suspensions, electrical and hydraulic systems.
• Experience with gasoline, diesel and CNG systems preferred.
• Welding and fabrication abilities a plus.
• OSHA safety standards knowledge and compliance required.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose fleet issues for refuse and recycling vehicles.
• Maintain and repair Mack, IHC, Autocar, Heil, McNeilus equipment.
• Assist coworkers to work safely and efficiently.
• Complete all required maintenance paperwork promptly.
• Follow all safety policies and procedures.
• Keep a clean, safe work area per corporate/OSHA standards.
• Utilize vehicle diagnostic tools to identify failure modes.
• Perform safety checks on vehicles and equipment.
• Follow Factory Service Manuals for repairs.
