You will work first shift with a 7:00 am - 3:30 pm schedule, Monday through Friday, with weekends off. A CDL-A is preferred and extensive training is provided. Ryder emphasizes safety and ongoing skill development.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Vocational or technical certification/post-secondary degree preferred.
• Basic tools required.
• Demonstrated aptitude and experience in mechanical repair of automotive engines including preventative maintenance.
• Basic diagnostics and repairs including AC and electrical systems required.

Responsibilities

• Performs vehicle maintenance and repair duties including standard maintenance.
• Performs preventive maintenance.
• Diagnoses mechanical and electronic problems using diagnostic tools available.
• Completes inspections and repairs with minimal supervision.
• Replaces defective components as instructed.
• Mentor for Tech 1 and Tech 2 levels.
