Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. in Sterling, Virginia is seeking a Senior Diesel Technician. The role offers hourly pay of $37.00, with a schedule Monday–Friday, 7:00 am–3:30 pm and weekends off.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Vocational or Technical Certification preferred.
• Basic tools required.
• CDL Class A preferred.
• 2+ years of heavy-duty mechanical repair experience.

Responsibilities

• Performs vehicle maintenance and repair duties including standard maintenance.
• Performs preventive maintenance.
• Diagnoses mechanical and electronic problems using diagnostic computer when applicable.
• Repairs and replaces defective components as instructed.
