Job summary

Cox Fleet is hiring a Shop Diesel Technician II to join our team in a fast-growing fleet maintenance operation. You will perform DOT inspections, preventative maintenance, and light to medium repairs in a shop setting, with trainable opportunities to handle more complex diagnostics under supervision.

Responsibilities include documenting work on RO, using Karmak and handheld devices, and maintaining safety and quality standards while meeting productivity targets.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED required; 3 years in related field or 5 years with alternative level.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to obtain/maintain DQF.
• DOT-related inspection and preventative maintenance experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform DOT inspections and PMs on light, medium, and heavy-duty vehicles.
• Conduct light and follow-up repairs, diagnostics, and repairs under supervision.
• Operate diesel and electrical diagnostic tools and equipment safely.
• Document findings and parts used on Repair Orders using company devices.
• Maintain a clean, safe work environment and meet productivity targets.
• Coordinate with Service Writer to confirm customer needs and repair estimates.
