Job summary

Norfolk Truck Center in Norfolk, VA is seeking an experienced Shop Foreman to lead our diesel truck service team, ensuring repairs are performed correctly, efficiently, and safely by qualified technicians while maintaining a high level of customer service.

The role requires strong leadership, coordination with service advisors, and accountability for repair quality, timelines, and shop safety on a single shift from 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday through Friday.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in diesel truck shop
• 3+ years in a leadership or service/dispatch role
• Excellent customer service and leadership abilities
• CDL license preferred

Responsibilities

• Assign repairs to technicians based on skills and capacity
• Monitor repair progress and address delays
• Ensure repairs are timely and within budget
• Provide technical support to technicians
• Maintain shop safety, cleanliness and equipment condition
• Communicate status and updates to management
• Open the shop before technicians arrive and close after shift
• Ensure proper documentation and compliance of repair orders
• Mentor technicians and promote teamwork
