Job summary

Kenworth Sales Company in Manassas, VA is seeking a Service Shop Foreman (Diesel) to lead our service team, assign work, supervise technicians and guarantee quality workmanship.

This role reports to the Service Manager and requires a CDL, 5+ years in truck service, and strong customer service skills. Salary is $80,000–$90,000 annually, with benefits including health/dental insurance, 401(k) and paid leave.

Qualifications

• Five+ years of experience in the truck service field.
• CDL license or ability to obtain required.
• Ability to work well under pressure and maintain organization.
• Ability to assist the Service Manager in training mechanics.
• Customer service skills to greet customers and coordinate service orders.
• Ability to troubleshoot mechanical problems and recommend repairs.
• Ability to schedule and assign work to mechanics.
• Review work in process and ensure timely completion.
• Road test vehicles and ensure quality control.
• Supervise housekeeping in the Service department and maintain tools and equipment.
• Read, write, and comprehend English instructions.

Responsibilities

• Maintains Service Shop capacity and communicates status throughout the day.
• Assigns work based on skill and time estimates.
• Performs quality control checks and provides training.
• Coordinates service estimates, approvals, and timetables with customers.
• Calculates labor charges and reviews repair orders for accuracy.
• Ensures timely and courteous customer relations and promotes service sales.
• Monitors open repair orders and resolves delays with parts.
