Job summary

Northern-Lights Inc. is seeking a Technician II to assist in diagnosing, removing, or replacing major components with minimal supervision in Anchorage, AK.

The role requires 4–6 years of related experience and involves repairing trucks, engines and components, following job orders and maintaining safety standards. You will read diagrams, use repair manuals, and perform preventive maintenance while documenting repairs and time.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Certified Diesel Technology training or equivalent.
• 3–5 years in repair/maintenance on heavy trucks and diesel engines.
• Experience reading service instructions and repair manuals.
• Familiarity with diesel engine systems and EPA certifications.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical service to vehicles and equipment.
• Perform general and detailed repair of trucks, engines and components.
• Read work orders and observe vehicles to diagnose malfunctions.
• Inspect safety devices, bolts, and guards and make adjustments.
• Maintain accurate records of time, repairs and parts usage.
• Attend training and stay updated with factory bulletins.
• Develop positive relationships with customers to enhance satisfaction.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot issues with diesel engines and equipment.
