Job summary

Sysco Allentown seeks an experienced Fleet Technician to ensure safe, reliable vehicles through preventative maintenance and expert diagnostics. The role covers tractors, trailers, and related equipment, with an emphasis on reducing downtime and improving fleet reliability.

You will perform inspections, diagnose complex issues, and repair to manufacturer specifications. The position may involve shift work with a requirement for thorough documentation and teamwork.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; CDL preferred but not required.
• Medium/Heavy Duty truck technical training or equivalent experience.
• ASE and EPA certifications are preferred for advanced diagnostics.

Responsibilities

• Perform inspections and preventive maintenance to maximize safety and reliability.
• Conduct annual inspections (FAI/CVI) on fleet vehicles per regulations.
• Diagnose and repair engines, transmissions, differential, brakes, HVAC, and electrical systems.
• Maintain accurate work orders and document all service activities.
• Mentor junior Fleet Technicians and assist Fleet Manager as needed.
