Job summary

Rolls-Royce is seeking a Senior Calibration Engineer in Aiken, SC to lead calibration and testing of diesel engines within a dynamic development team. You will coordinate test campaigns, analyze results, and drive emissions compliance while balancing cost and performance across multiple programs.

You will collaborate with global engineering teams, mentor junior engineers, and ensure accurate documentation, safety and adherence to Rolls-Royce standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering; 5 years calibrating/testing combustion engines (or 9 years).
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally; flexible hours incl. nights/weekends.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate diesel engine development, calibration and support in a test cell and in the field.
• Test prototype engines, components and aftertreatment; collaborate with test cell operators and other departments.
• Develop and evaluate engineering solutions considering reliability, configuration, emissions and cost.
• Conduct tests and use DoE and modeling to optimize calibration parameters.
• Manage emissions certification processes and data analysis per standards.
• Mentor less experienced engineers and maintain a safe, compliant work environment.
