Job summary

Rolls-Royce Power Systems invites applications for a Senior Manager, Development Engineering based in Aiken, SC. This role leads and develops engineering staff, steering combustion engine testing and calibration programs to meet business goals.

The position requires strong leadership, extensive experience in diesel engine development and cross-functional coordination with global teams and test facilities. A relocation option is available.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering with 5 years of experience managing engineering teams in combustion engine development.
• OR 9 years of experience managing engineering teams in combustion engine development.
• Strong knowledge of practical engineering science for diesel engine applications.
• Authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Direct, manage, and evaluate development engineering activities related to combustion engine testing and calibration.
• Coordinate with TTC capability leads at Friedrichshafen and TT managers at the Aiken site.
• Recruit, assign, develop, and evaluate engineering staff; set goals and training.
• Plan, coordinate, and control development projects to meet technical and business objectives.
• Manage project timelines, budgets, staffing, and resources for multiple initiatives.
• Track costs, coordinate cost recovery, and report status to global stakeholders.
• Oversee engine development activities and plan future test cell activity and equipment needs.
