Rolls-Royce Power Systems in Aiken, SC seeks a Senior Quality Engineer – Engine Testing to lead quality control in diesel engine testing, oversee CAPA actions, and drive quality improvements across design, testing, and supplier interfaces.

The role requires 8+ years in diesel engine quality/testing, strong data analysis, and ISO 9001 experience, with a four-ten-hour day work pattern and full-time commitment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical/Automotive Engineering or related field.
• 8+ years of experience in quality control or testing within a diesel engine manufacturing environment.
• Authority to work for any U.S. employer without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Plan, execute, and oversee quality control procedures in the engine testing area for diesel engines.
• Lead and coordinate product and part qualifications, including defining quality criteria and validating new designs.
• Review and approve test protocols, procedures, and data collection methods for compliance with standards and regulations.
• Analyze test results to identify trends and drive corrective/preventive actions (CAPA).
• Coordinate with testing team to troubleshoot test stand issues and deviations in engine performance.
• Collaborate with design, manufacturing, and supplier quality teams to qualify components through validation and testing plans.
• Develop and implement statistical quality control methods (SPC, Cpk, GR&R) to monitor test outcomes.
• Ensure compliance with ISO 9001 and environmental and safety regulations.
• Lead root cause analysis and 8D reporting for test-related quality issues.
• Generate detailed test and quality reports for internal reviews and customer documentation.
