Job summary

Software Placement Group seeks a Senior Die Cast Changeover Technician for its Cedarburg, WI facility on the 2nd shift, onsite. This direct-hire, full-time role leads die changes, sets process parameters, and troubleshoots equipment in a fast-paced production environment.

You will perform complete die changes and tooling setups, fine-tune melt temperatures, pressures, and cycle timing, and coordinate with Quality and Production for first-piece approvals.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of tenure at each previous employer required.
• Experience in high-pressure aluminum die casting, plastic injection molding, stamping, or heavy manufacturing preferred.
• Strong troubleshooting in mechanical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, and reading complex setup sheets.

Responsibilities

• Lead complete die changes and tooling setups for high-pressure aluminum die casting machines.
• Fine-tune parameters including melt temperatures, hydraulic pressures, shot speeds, and cycle timing.
• Rig, align, and install dies, trim tools, and cooling/lubrication lines using cranes and forklifts.
• Diagnose and resolve setup, machine, or casting defects to optimize cycle times and minimize scrap.
• Inspect hydraulic, pneumatic, water/cooling, and spray/ladle systems before sign-off.
• Coordinate with Quality and Production for initial part runs and first-piece inspection.
