Job summary

Htprof in Cedarburg, WI is seeking a skilled Die Cast Setup Technician to join the 2nd shift. You will perform complete die changes, set machine parameters, and optimize high‑pressure aluminum casting cells to drive quality and efficiency.

Ideal candidates have at least 2 years of tenure at prior employers, hands-on setup or changeover experience, and strong mechanical troubleshooting abilities. Local commute within 45 minutes and US work authorization are required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2+ years of tenure with prior employers.
• Hands-on die cast setup or heavy machinery changeover experience.
• Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills.
• Must reside within a 45-minute commute of Cedarburg, WI and be US work authorized.

Responsibilities

• Execute die changes and tooling setups for high-pressure aluminum die casting machines and automation equipment.
• Set and fine-tune critical machine parameters (melt temperatures, hydraulic pressures, cycle timing).
• Install dies, trim tools, shot-end components, plunger systems, and cooling/lubrication lines with overhead cranes and forklifts.
• Troubleshoot setup, machine, or casting defects to optimize cycle times and reduce scrap.
• Verify hydraulic, pneumatic, water/cooling, and automated spray/ladle systems before production sign-off.
• Coordinate with Quality and Production for first-piece inspections.
• Follow Lockout/Tagout and crane safety protocols during all setups and teardowns.
