Job summary

Ilocatum is seeking a Senior Die Cast Changeover Technician for the 2nd shift in Cedarburg, WI. You will lead die changes, set machine parameters, and troubleshoot high-pressure aluminum die casting systems in a fast-paced ISO-certified facility.

The role emphasizes safety, precise setup, and collaboration with Quality and Production to ensure first-pass quality and optimal cycle times.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2+ years at each prior employer.
• Hands-on die cast setup or heavy machinery changeover experience.
• Mechanical troubleshooting capabilities.
• Must reside within 45 minutes of Cedarburg, WI.
• US work authorization required.

Responsibilities

• Lead complete die changes and tooling setups for high-pressure aluminum die casting machines.
• Set and tune process parameters including temperatures and pressures.
• Install dies, tooling, and cooling/lubrication lines safely.
• Diagnose defects and optimize cycle times to reduce scrap.
• Inspect hydraulic, pneumatic, water/cooling, and automation systems before production.
• Coordinate first-piece inspections with Quality and Production.
• Follow strict safety protocols including LOTO.
