Job summary

Anduril Industries is seeking a Senior DFx Engineer for its Air Dominance & Strike Manufacturing Engineering team. You will drive design for manufacturability, assembly, and cost across mechanical, structural, thermal, and fluid subsystems, and partner with contract manufacturers to meet program targets.

The role requires hands-on experience with DFx, DFM/DFX reviews, and cross-functional collaboration across design, manufacturing, supply chain, and quality.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering or related field.
• 8+ years in manufacturing engineering, producibility, or DFx with focus on mechanical, thermal or fluid systems.
• Experience in DFx reviews and translating findings into cost reductions.

Responsibilities

• Execute DFx analysis for manufacturability, assembly, and cost across mechanical, structural, thermal and fluid systems.
• Lead DFM/DFX reviews at design milestones with scoring to identify producibility and cost risks.
• Lead DFMEAs with cross-functional teams to drive design changes and control plans.
• Collaborate with SME manufacturing/design engineers to feedback manufacturability constraints.
• Support selection/qualification of contract manufacturers and supplier capability assessments.
• Contribute to should-cost models and cost-driver analyses for assemblies.
• Develop and maintain DFx standards, guidelines, and scorecards for processes like CNC, sheet metal, welding, bonding, and tubing.
