Job summary

Anduril Industries is seeking a Staff DFx Engineer to serve as the technical authority on design for manufacturability, assembly, and cost across our mechanical, structural, thermal, and fluid systems supporting AD&S programs.

You will mentor junior engineers, lead DFx reviews, and collaborate with contract manufacturers to ensure producibility and cost targets while traveling to production sites as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical/Aerospace/Manufacturing Engineering or related field.
• 12+ years in manufacturing engineering, producibility, or DFx with focus on mechanical/thermal/fluid systems.
• Strong depth in mechanical manufacturing processes: CNC machining, sheet metal, welding, brazing, casting, forging, and assembly.

Responsibilities

• Own DFx analysis across mechanical, structural, thermal, and fluid systems with focus on manufacturability, assembly, and cost.
• Lead DFM/ DFA/ DFC reviews at design milestones with scoring to identify risks and drive design changes.
• Mentor junior engineers and collaborate with contract manufacturers to assess capabilities and drive supplier readiness.
