Job summary

Anduril Industries is seeking a Staff DFx Engineer to drive manufacturability, assembly, and cost across mechanical, structural, thermal, and fluid subsystems for our AD&S programs. You will partner with SMEs, lead DFx reviews, and help qualify contract manufacturers to ensure buildable designs at scale.

You will mentor junior engineers, develop DFx standards, and travel ~20% to production sites and supplier facilities.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
12+ years of experience in manufacturing engineering, producibility engineering, or DFx with focus on mechanical systems/thermal/fluids.
Experience leading DFM/DFA reviews and translating findings into cost reductions.

Responsibilities

Own and drive DFx analysis across mechanical, structural, thermal, and fluid systems subsystems.
Lead structured DFM/DFA/DFC reviews at key design milestones with rigorous scoring.
Lead DFMEAs with cross-functional teams to drive design changes and control plans.
Collaborate with SMEs to evaluate designs and translate constraints into feedback for cost and producibility.
Assist in the selection and qualification of contract manufacturers and supplier capability assessments.
