Job summary

Anduril Industries, a defense technology company, seeks a Staff DFx Engineer to own manufacturability, assembly, and cost for mechanical, structural, thermal, and fluid subsystems across our autonomous aircraft, missiles, and related hardware.

You will lead DFx reviews with cross‑functional teams, mentor engineers, and partner with suppliers to ensure producibility and cost targets are met. A U.S. Person is required for access to restricted information.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of experience in manufacturing engineering or DFx with focus on mechanical systems.
• Experience leading DFM/DFA reviews and translating findings into cost reductions.
• Experience evaluating contract manufacturers and production readiness.
• Strong ability to read drawings, GD&T, and 3D models for producibility.
• Must be a U.S. Person due to access to export-controlled information.

Responsibilities

• Own DFx analysis across mechanical, structural, thermal, and fluid systems.
• Lead DFM/DFA/DFC reviews at design milestones.
• Facilitate DFMEAs and drive design changes.
• Evaluate supplier capabilities and qualify contract manufacturers.
• Develop should-cost models and cost drivers.
• Collaborate with supply chain, quality, and operations.
• Mentor junior engineers and travel ~20%.
