Job summary

Leidos is seeking a Senior DevSecOps Platform Engineer to lead the design, implementation, and evolution of secure software delivery platforms supporting FAA-related mission systems. You will own GitLab administration, CI/CD architecture, deployment automation, and developer enablement across Agile teams.

Work involves cloud platforms, Kubernetes administration, and collaboration with Cloud Systems Owners, cybersecurity, and solution architects to ensure rapid, secure, and compliant software

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field with 8–12 years of experience, or Master's with 6–10 years.
• Extensive experience designing, implementing, and administering enterprise CI/CD platforms for large-scale software development.
• Advanced experience developing and administering GitLab CI/CD pipelines and Runners, templates, variables, artifacts, and deployment workflows.
• Extensive experience administering GitLab repositories, merge requests, branching strategies, permissions, source control, and governance.

Responsibilities

• Lead the GitLab platform engineering, administration, and continual improvement across projects and teams.
• Establish enterprise CI/CD standards via reusable templates, libraries, and deployment workflows to improve consistency and productivity.
• Integrate automated security, software supply chain security, and compliance validation into the CI/CD lifecycle (SAST, SCA, container scanning).
• Develop standardized deployment patterns for Kubernetes using GitOps, Helm, and progressive deployment validations.
• Collaborate with Cloud Systems Owners to ensure cloud platforms support automated deployment, scalability, and reliability.
• Mentor engineers and guide DevSecOps practices, platform governance, and pipeline documentation.
