Job summary

Leidos in Reston, Virginia seeks a Senior DevSecOps Platform Engineer to lead the design, implementation, and evolution of secure software delivery platforms for FAA-related systems. You will drive enterprise CI/CD capabilities, GitLab administration, and automation while partnering with Cloud Systems Owners, cybersecurity, and development teams.

Qualifications

• 8-12 years of relevant experience with a Bachelor’s degree or 6-10 years with a Master’s degree
• Extensive experience designing, implementing, and administering enterprise CI/CD platforms
• Advanced experience developing and administering GitLab CI/CD pipelines, including Runners, templates, variables, and workflows
• Extensive experience administering GitLab repositories, merges, and governance
• Experience Infrastructure as Code using Terraform/AWS CloudFormation
• Experience deploying containerized apps (Docker/Kubernetes) with Helm and GitOps
• Strong scripting (Bash/Python) and Linux CI/CD automation
• Experience with AWS cloud services and cloud-native deployments
• Knowledge of software supply chain security, secret management, and automated security testing
• Ability to lead initiatives, mentor engineers, and align with security/compliance requirements

Responsibilities

• Lead the GitLab platform engineering, including projects, groups, runners, and health
• Establish enterprise CI/CD standards via reusable templates and workflows
• Lead automated security, supply chain security, and compliance validation in CI/CD
• Develop Kubernetes deployment patterns using GitOps, Helm, and automated validation
• Administer GitLab Container Registry and artifact management platforms
• Collaborate with Cloud Systems Owners to ensure scalable deployments
• Mentor engineers and promote standardization and best practices
• Define and monitor pipeline performance and delivery metrics
• Review pipeline designs and deployment strategies for consistency
