Job summary

Leidos is seeking a Senior DevSecOps Platform Engineer to lead design, implementation, and evolution of secure software delivery platforms. You will drive enterprise CI/CD standards, automate pipelines, and integrate security across development teams in a cloud/Kubernetes environment.

You will collaborate with Cloud Systems Owners, cybersecurity, and product teams to ensure rapid, compliant deployments while maintaining operational excellence and governance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 8–12 years' relevant experience or Master's with 6–10 years.
• Experience designing, implementing, and administering enterprise CI/CD platforms at scale.
• Advanced GitLab CI/CD pipeline development: runners, templates, variables, artifacts, workflows.
• Experience administering GitLab repositories, merge requests, permissions, and governance.
• Experience IaC using Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, or similar.
• Experience deploying containerized apps (Docker/Kubernetes) with Helm and GitOps.
• Strong scripting skills (Bash/Python) and Linux administration.
• Experience with AWS cloud services and secure software delivery practices.

Responsibilities

• Lead GitLab platform engineering, including projects, groups, runners, and permissions.
• Define enterprise CI/CD standards with reusable templates and deployment workflows.
• Advance automated application security, SCA, container scanning, and IaC scanning in CI/CD.
• Develop deployment patterns for Kubernetes apps using GitOps, Helm, and progressive deployment.
• Administer container registries and artifact management platforms.
• Collaborate with Cloud Systems Owners to ensure scalable, secure deployments.
• Mentor engineers and enforce engineering standards across teams.
• Align DevSecOps with security policies and regulatory guidance.
• Troubleshoot complex build/deploy pipelines and optimize performance.
• Review designs and guide teams toward consistent, reusable solutions.
• Monitor delivery metrics and drive improvements in productivity.
