Job summary

General Dynamics Information Technology is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to join the Application Configuration team supporting the CMS HIGLAS program. You will help advance DevSecOps maturity, design deployment automation, and build release pipelines in Oracle environments.

The role combines hands-on development with mentoring, driving modernization of legacy deployments into secure, auditable pipelines.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or related field or equivalent hands-on experience in similar environments.
5+ years of hands-on DevOps, Release Engineering, or DevSecOps work, with release automation tools and CI/CD.
Experience with FlexDeploy, GitLab, Jenkins, Ansible, and Oracle Cloud Integration.
Strong scripting/programming with good understanding of infrastructure and application architecture.
Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance and residency in the United States for the required period.

Responsibilities

Develop automation for environment cloning, synchronization, and refresh activities.
Enforce auditable deployment processes and maintain documentation; train team members as needed.
Provide on-call support for deployment activities and toolset support.
Lead the migration of code from development to production for apps and infrastructure.
