Job summary

General Dynamics Information Technology seeks a senior DevSecOps/AWS Engineer to lead secure CI/CD pipelines for AWS-based systems in critical national security programs.

You will design, implement, and govern automated pipelines with IaC (Terraform, CloudFormation), security scanning, access controls, and governance aligned to NIST/CMMC and FedRAMP requirements.

This hybrid role is based in Fairfax, VA, with travel and a comprehensive Total Rewards package and flexible work options.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
• 8+ years in IT with DevOps/DevSecOps and CI/CD for production systems.
• Hands-on AWS services experience in secure, regulated environments.
• Experience designing and operating CI/CD pipelines with modern platforms.
• Strong IaC exposure with CloudFormation or Terraform.
• Experience with containers and security-focused orchestration.

Responsibilities

• Define and enforce secure CI/CD and DevSecOps standards for AWS-hosted apps.
• Design, build, and maintain pipelines with integrated security scanning and testing.
• Lead IaC implementations with security baselines for AWS environments.
• Automate secure environment provisioning and deployments across accounts.
• Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting for auditable pipelines.
• Integrate IAM, encryption, secrets management, and compliance into CI/CD.
• Ensure compliance with NIST/CMMC/FedRAMP/ISO 27001 and internal standards.
