Job summary

General Dynamics - IT in Washington, DC is seeking a Senior DevSecOps Engineer to integrate security across development and operations lifecycles, building automated, secure CI/CD pipelines and enterprise DevSecOps platforms.

You will mentor teams on secure coding, threat modeling, and vulnerability remediation, lead design and pipeline security reviews, and collaborate with stakeholders to strengthen the organization’s security posture.

Qualifications

• Active Top Secret security clearance with SCI eligibility.
• Bachelor’s degree in technology with 5+ years of relevant experience (education may substitute for experience).
• Hands-on experience designing, deploying, operating, and maintaining enterprise DevSecOps pipelines.
• DoD 8140 IAT II compliant certification.
• Mentor teams on secure coding practices, threat modeling and vulnerability remediation.
• Strong communication and collaboration across technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain secure CI/CD pipelines to support application development and operations.
• Implement and enforce security best practices across build, test, deploy and runtime operations.
• Embed security controls into pipelines, tooling, and workflows.
• Lead security-focused reviews including design, code, and pipeline security assessments.
• Provide advanced guidance on secure coding and vulnerability remediation.
• Strengthen the organization's security posture by identifying risks and promoting secure patterns.
