Job summary

Fuze Health is seeking a Senior DevSecOps Engineer to lead secure-by-design cloud and CI/CD initiatives. You will architect cloud-native systems on AWS/GCP, establish security patterns, and automate governance across engineering teams.

You will mentor engineers, influence leadership on security strategy, and ensure compliance with HIPAA and SOC 2 as the company scales nationally. This role may involve hybrid or remote work options.

Qualifications

• 6+ years in software, infrastructure, or security engineering with DevSecOps focus.
• Deep cloud expertise (AWS and/or GCP).
• Experience building secure containerized/Kubernetes environments.
• IaC skills with Terraform and CloudFormation; secure IaC pipelines.
• Strong knowledge of application security and OWASP Top 10.
• Proficient in Python, Go, or Ruby; scripting skills.
• Background in SRE or platform engineering.
• Security certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CCSP, or cloud certs.
• Experience with observability and security telemetry.

Responsibilities

• Define and lead the DevSecOps vision across infra, apps, and CI/CD.
• Architect secure-by-design cloud-native systems (AWS/GCP).
• Establish security patterns, guardrails, and reference architectures.
• Design, secure, and maintain CI/CD pipelines and workflows.
• Automate security testing and compliance checks; reduce manual work.
• Implement policy-as-code and governance controls.
• Enforce controls on network segmentation and zero-trust environments.
• Mentor engineers on secure coding and DevSecOps practices.
• Collaborate with leadership and stakeholders on security strategy.
• Align cross-functional teams across Engineering, Product, IT, Compliance.
