Job summary

Komatsu Mining Technology Solutions seeks a Senior Infrastructure Engineer to own the architecture and reliability of critical infrastructure for AHS and mining tech. You will lead on-prem and hybrid environments, automate CI/CD, and drive observability and resilience across global production systems.

You will mentor peers, define SRE metrics, and collaborate with software, IT and field teams to ensure 24/7 availability. Some international travel may be required.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in Infrastructure Engineering, DevOps or SRE with leadership.
• Experience building CI/CD pipelines with GitHub, Jenkins or GitLab CI.
• Experience with on-premise and hybrid cloud infra incl. VMware/KVM.
• Strong networking, security and Linux knowledge.
• Familiarity with SRE metrics, observability platforms, and incident management.
• Mentor or tech-lead experience and collaboration with field teams.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in CS/Engineering or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a technical leader across multiple infrastructure and DevOps domains.
• Develop and optimize automated CI/CD pipelines for agile deployments.
• Architect and maintain on-premise and hybrid environments (provisioning, monitoring, capacity).
• Design secure, scalable infrastructure using IaC (Terraform, Ansible, Packer).
• Implement observability with metrics, tracing and logging (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, Datadog).
• Define and monitor SRE metrics: SLIs, SLOs and error budgets.
• Lead incident response and root cause analysis for production systems.
• Collaborate with field engineers and support teams for 24/7 reliability.
• Continuously improve field-deployed infrastructure through automation and security.
• Mentor teammates and support career growth; balance tech leadership with business needs.
• Occasionally travel internationally to support sites.
