Job summary

Komatsu Mining Technology Solutions is seeking a Senior Mining Engineer to support deployment, performance optimization, and continuous improvement of autonomous mining technologies. You will work closely with mine sites, regional teams, distributors, and partners to assess performance and drive successful autonomous deployments.

The role emphasizes mining-engineering expertise, operational analytics, and collaboration across diverse teams to improve safety, productivity, and system

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Mining Engineering or related discipline; equivalent relevant experience may be considered.
  • At least 5 years of relevant experience in surface mining operations, mine planning, mining technology, or related environment.
  • Experience with autonomous, teleoperated, fleet-management, or related mining technology systems.
  • Strong written and verbal communication; ability to convey complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze autonomous haulage performance using operational data, simulation, and mining-engineering principles.
  • Define, monitor, and analyze operational KPIs to identify improvement opportunities.
  • Lead or support site-readiness assessments and operational modelling for autonomous deployments.
  • Support configuration, testing, commissioning, and validation of autonomous haulage solutions with customers and partners.
  • Provide guidance on effective system use, practices, and continuous-improvement opportunities.
  • Develop and maintain operational documentation and training materials.
