Job summary

TrendAI, the AI security unit of Trend Micro, seeks a Senior DevOps / Release Engineer to own CI/CD for an on-prem appliance and related microservices. You’ll shape the build toolchain, automate gates, and drive modernization toward ephemeral runners and cloud-scale deployments.

You will work across Go/Node services, Terraform/Terragrunt, and the Serverless Framework, balancing hardware and virtual environments with robust security and release discipline.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in DevOps, release/build engineering, or Linux admin for production software.
• Strong Bash and Python scripting for automation.
• Experience with GitHub Actions and migrating from Jenkins.
• Familiar with JVM build lifecycles (Ant/Gradle).
• Solid Linux admin skills and credential management.
• Ability to triage CI/CD failures under pressure.
• Experience with AI-assisted tooling in automation is a plus.
• Familiar with SAST/SCA and vulnerability scanners.
• Proficient with Docker and Kubernetes in microservices.
• BS in CS or related field.

Responsibilities

• Own and operate CI/CD pipelines for on-prem appliance across branches.
• Refactor and maintain GitHub Actions workflows; migrate Jenkins.
• Architect automated branch gates and flaky-test quarantine.
• Administer GitHub org: repos, protections, access.
• Modernize build/lab infra for ephemeral runners and IaC.
• Manage code signing and release packaging for appliance builds.
• Automate release notes generation from commits/PRs.
• Run security/quality scanning pipelines; upgrade tools.
• Harden credential management and short-lived identities.
• Extend AI-assisted automation to triage, reporting, and playbooks.
• Coordinate upstream infra changes with teams; document runbooks.
• Support companion Go/Node microservices pipelines and Serverless deployments.
• Collaborate with development, QA, and release management.
