Job summary

D-Wave Quantum Inc. is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to operate and improve hybrid infrastructure spanning AWS, on‑prem, and Kubernetes, focusing on security and observability. You will own end‑to‑end platform operations and collaborate with hardware, software, and DevOps teams in a dynamic environment.

The role emphasizes CI/CD, automation, and reliable software delivery, with opportunities to advance incident response, compliance, and monitoring capabilities across cloud and on‑prem systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
• 5+ years of experience in DevOps, infrastructure, SRE, or a related field.
• Ability to independently own production systems or technical initiatives.
• Hands-on experience with platform operations, security, or monitoring and observability.
• Strong Linux administration and troubleshooting skills.
• Experience with AWS, Docker, and Kubernetes deployments.
• Proficiency in Python, Bash, or similar scripting languages.
• Knowledge of security practices and monitoring/logging tools.

Responsibilities

• Own day‑to‑day support for AWS applications and shared infrastructure, resolving deployment, configuration, and runtime issues.
• Maintain and improve CI/CD pipelines and software release processes using GitHub Actions and related tooling.
• Support onboarding, access requests, and ticketed infrastructure work, increasing automation and self‑service.
• Develop and maintain infrastructure‑as‑code and automation using Terraform, Ansible, Python, and Bash.
• Strengthen security across AWS, Kubernetes, and on‑prem environments with access controls and patching.
• Integrate security scanning into engineering workflows and remediate findings.
• Support compliance evidence collection and cloud migration efforts.
• Improve monitoring, logging, dashboards, and alerting with Zabbix, Prometheus, OpenSearch, CloudWatch, Grafana.
• Collaborate with application owners to improve instrumentation and service health metrics.
• Lead incident resolution with root‑cause analysis and runbooks; mentor teammates and contribute to design/reviews.
