Job summary

Fluence is hiring a Senior DevOps Engineer in Houston to enable fast, reliable software delivery. You will blend Platform Engineering, SRE, and DevOps with development tasks, supporting multiple products in global environments.

You will automate builds, deployments, and tooling, manage on‑prem and AWS infrastructure, and elevate observability and logging. Expect a hybrid schedule with in‑office presence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering or related field with 7+ years in DevOps or software engineering.
• Demonstrated experience building software automation with Ansible.
• Proficient in CI/CD pipeline development using GitHub and Jenkins.
• Strong containerization with Docker, Docker Compose, and Kubernetes.
• Experience at scale with AWS and IaC (Terraform/CloudFormation).
• Solid monitoring/observability using Prometheus, Grafana, Zabbix and centralized logging with Datadog/Elasticsearch/Splunk.

Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional customer service by enabling development teams to ship software quickly.
• Blend Platform Engineering, SRE, DevOps, and development duties in a hybrid role.
• Own priorities, automate build, deployment, and tooling across global environments.
• Design and manage development infra on-premises and in AWS, with deployment automation.
• Improve observability, metrics, monitoring, and alerting; guide best practices and training.
• Collaborate across a distributed team, participate in on-call rotations and travel as needed.
