CVS Health is seeking a Sr. Manager, Software Engineering - DevOps, Observability & Monitoring to lead strategic platform engineering initiatives that enable scalable, reliable cloud-native development.

You will build and lead a high‑performing team responsible for designing, implementing, and operating modern platforms. The ideal candidate combines hands‑on cloud, DevOps, and observability expertise with the ability to drive transformation and operational excellence across the Digital team.

Qualifications

5+ years in software engineering, SRE, or production engineering within large-scale distributed systems.
Hands-on experience with AIOps or intelligent monitoring platforms.
Experience with observability tools such as AppDynamics, Grafana, Prometheus, and Splunk.
Cloud platforms expertise (AWS, Azure, GCP) and cloud-native architectures (Kubernetes, containers, microservices).
Experience with IaC (Terraform, CloudFormation, Deployment Manager).
Proficiency in Python, Java, or Go.
Strong track record improving operational metrics (SLAs, CSAT, MTTR).
Experience with GenAI and automation tools (OpenAI, Copilot, Gemini).
Strong analytics, communication, and stakeholder skills.

Responsibilities

Lead a team of software engineers and SRE/DevOps to deliver platform capabilities.
Drive AIOps-driven observability and proactive incident detection.
Architect scalable observability frameworks across metrics, logs, traces, and events.
Champion CI/CD, IaC, and GitOps across multiple teams.
Improve reliability through error budgets, incident post mortems, and RC planning.
