Job summary

Eiden Systems Consulting (ESC) seeks a Senior DevOps Engineer to lead DevOps strategy, CI/CD architecture, cloud deployments, automation, and Agile practices supporting large-scale federal programs.

The role is primarily remote, with periodic onsite support at Fort Belvoir, VA, and other NCR locations. Strong experience in DevOps across cloud and on‑prem environments is required, along with DoD/federal program exposure preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years in Agile/Scrum environments.
• 5+ years in DevOps, software delivery, or systems engineering.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automated SDLC toolchains.
• Experience with cloud and on-premises deployments.
• Experience with major cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP/OpenStack).
• Experience with configuration management tools (Ansible/Puppet/Chef/Salt/TFS).
• Experience with containerization (Docker/OpenShift/Kubernetes).
• Scripting/programming in Python, Bash, PowerShell, or similar.
• Active Secret Clearance with IT-II eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Lead DevOps strategy, automation, and CI/CD.
• Define and implement Scrum/Agile methodologies for large-scale clients.
• Develop and maintain automated SDLC toolchains.
• Support deployments across AWS, Azure, GCP, OpenStack and on-premises.
• Implement TDD, DevSecOps, and automated testing practices.
• Engineer and support complex product-centric deployments.
• Automate infrastructure and application deployments using scripts and IaC.
• Implement configuration management and IaC solutions.
• Deploy and manage containerized apps using Docker/OpenShift/LXC.
• Collaborate with developers, engineers, cybersecurity teams, and stakeholders.
