Job summary

STR is seeking a DevOps Engineer in the Mission Applications Group to design, develop, and maintain infrastructure and tooling for deploying software in operational use. You will lead Agile teams to ensure high-quality, reliable performance in diverse deployment environments.

The role emphasizes CI/CD, cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP), containerization (Docker/Podman), and Kubernetes (EKS/Rancher). Must be a US citizen with SCI eligibility, open to hybrid Arlington-area work.

Qualifications

BS in Computer Science or related field with at least 5 years of work experience.
Experience with CI/CD tooling and pipeline automation.
Experience deploying and monitoring Kubernetes clusters.
Experience with cloud platforms and automated provisioning tools.
Strong communication with technical and non-technical audiences.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain infrastructure and tooling to deploy software in operational use.
Lead engineering teams to meet quality, reliability, and performance standards.
Design and implement CI/CD pipelines for multiple deployment environments.
Coordinate with customer environments and corporate IT to ensure configurations and compliance.
