Job summary

Base-2 Solutions is seeking a Senior DevOps Software Engineer to lead a DevOps team on the DOMEX Technology Platform (DTP) program that centralizes TCPED of OSINT across the DoD/IC. The role focuses on integrating off-the-shelf and new software, running a full stack containerized microservices architecture, and guiding cloud, AI, and cross‑domain transfer systems.

Qualifications

12+ years in software development or systems engineering; 10+ years with Master’s degree.
DoD 8570.01M IAT Level II certification or higher (e.g., Security+, CySA+, SSCP, CCNA Security, or CISSP).
Ability to obtain Privileged User Account (PUA) certification.
Strong Kubernetes expertise including Ingress/Gateway API, Helm, Pod disruption budgets, affinity rules.
Experience with GitLab CI/CD and related reporting tools (Code Quality, Code Coverage).

Responsibilities

Lead a DevOps team for design, deployment, and maintenance of a containerized microservices stack.
Deploy and maintain a production big data pipeline on Kubernetes with Elasticsearch and Kafka.
Enhance CI/CD scripts and processes for faster, reliable deployments.
Design scalable, redundant infrastructure across physical and virtualized environments.
Collaborate with System Engineers and Architects; manage Agile backlog and PI planning.
