Job summary

Base-2 Solutions is seeking a Senior DevOps Software Engineer to lead a DevOps team for the DOMEX Technology Platform. The role focuses on integrating off-the-shelf and custom software to support TCPED of OSINT for DoD/IC, leveraging cloud, AI/ML, and cross-domain transfer systems.

You will design, deploy, and maintain a containerized microservices platform with Kubernetes, Elasticsearch, and Kafka, driving CI/CD excellence and scalable infrastructure.

Qualifications

• BS in Engineering, CS, Systems Engineering, or related field or equivalent experience with 12+ years in software development/systems.
• DoD 8570.01M IAT Level II certification or higher, e.g., Security+, CySA+, CCNA Security, CISSP (or Associate).
• Experience with container orchestration (Kubernetes), Helm, and CI/CD pipelines; troubleshooting Ingress/Gateway API.

Responsibilities

• Lead a DevOps team responsible for design, deployment, and maintenance of a full stack containerized microservices architecture.
• Deploy, triage, and maintain a production big data pipeline on Kubernetes with Elasticsearch and Kafka.
• Enhance and maintain CI/CD scripts and DevOps processes for rapid, reliable deployments.
• Design and support scalable, redundant infrastructure across physical and virtual environments.
• Use Helm to configure Kubernetes deployments for new features.
• Collaborate with System Engineers to design solutions for new features.
• Provide input to systems engineering docs in coordination with SE and Architect teams.
• Own and prioritize the Agile team backlog and SAFe PI planning artifacts.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and manage sprint/program progress.
• Review and accept completed work ensuring quality and alignment with requirements.
• Communicate priorities and progress to stakeholders and leadership.
