Optomi, in partnership with a fast-growing pet-property technology SaaS company, is seeking a Lead/Sr. DevOps Engineer to steer the technical direction of our AWS and Kubernetes environments.

This hands-on, high‑ownership role involves setting standards and shaping how we plan and execute infrastructure initiatives. The team spans cloud infrastructure, security, developer tools, and automation, building tooling and a TypeScript interface for defining infrastructure and MCPs for automation.

Qualifikationen

• 5+ years in DevOps, infrastructure, or SRE with leadership experience.
• AWS expertise and Kubernetes (EKS) production operations.
• Strong IaC skills with Pulumi or Terraform.
• Experience with GitOps, CI/CD, and deployment automation.
• Familiarity with Datadog or similar observability platform.

Aufgaben

• Technical leadership for infrastructure initiatives and roadmaps.
• Design, build, and maintain scalable AWS infrastructure and EKS clusters.
• Develop IaC standards and tooling using Pulumi and Terraform; apply GitOps.
• Create and improve developer tooling and automation for infra work.
• Own CI/CD improvements, deployment pipelines, and release processes.
• Strengthen observability, incident response, and on-call practices.
• Collaborate across Infrastructure, DevOps, and Security to keep environments compliant.
• Define infrastructure standards and runbooks for team growth.
• Own infrastructure projects from scoping to rollout.
