Job summary

Smartcat is seeking a true leader to manage DevOps and Infrastructure teams, ensuring availability, scalability, and reliability of staging and production environments. You will enforce best SRE/DevOps practices, build robust CI/CD pipelines, and shape cloud deployments across AWS, Azure, and GCP.

You’ll lead a global engineering organization, hire top talent, and drive improvements in release quality and lead time.

Qualifications

• 3 years of experience leading a team in a fast-growing multinational IT business.
• 5 years of experience in DevOps and SRE, maintaining high-RPS distributed products.
• Utilize a data-driven approach. Ability to justify decisions using concrete metrics.
• Can build relationships with neighboring teams, initiate and adhere to agreements, and act as an interface between your team and the environment.
• Strong hands-on experience with DevOps practices (in a leading role), specifically in building complex CI/CD pipelines, implementing IaC, and realizing various deployment strategies.
• Experience in implementing secure development environments.
• Possess practical experience in developing and maintaining large scalable applications in the cloud (AWS, Azure, GCP).

Responsibilities

• Lead DevOps and Infrastructure teams to ensure availability and reliability of staging and production environments.
• Enforce rigorous CI/CD testing and reviews to eliminate release errors.
• Maintain staging infrastructure with ~99.9% uptime and ensure product availability.
• Decrease lead time by accelerating CI/CD pipelines and environments.
• Strengthen hiring, provide technical guidance, and mentor engineers across regions and time zones.
