Amentum is seeking a DevOps professional to join the Hanover, MD team delivering cyber training solutions. You will manage pipelines, build UI/UX interfaces, and implement secure software in a collaborative environment.

The role emphasizes hands-on development, virtualization, and ongoing improvement of training platforms used by students and instructors. Clear communication and agile practices are valued.

Qualifications

• 13+ years of software development experience; degree substitutions allowed.
• Proficiency with Python, Ruby, shell scripting, C++, HTML, CSS, AJAX, JSON/XML, JavaScript/TypeScript and jQuery.
• Working knowledge of Windows and Linux systems; experience with agile methods.
• Experience setting up services, hosts, and networking in virtualization: VMware, Kubernetes, Docker.

Responsibilities

• Capture requirements and design services, pipelines and UI/UX for training software.
• Research, document and test security solutions for emerging technologies and CNE concepts.
• Develop training software and scenarios for operational readiness of students.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team to update course content and tools.
• Improve class management tools for delivery and grading of activities.
• Create and maintain virtualized systems to simulate cyber environments.
• Model, simulate and analyze systems; document programs and logic flows.
• Verify program accuracy via tests, logs and debugging.
• Contribute to engineering documentation and diagrams.
