Job summary

Sierra Nevada Corporation is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to lead and optimize our CI/CD pipelines and cloud infrastructure across hybrid environments. You will mentor the DevOps team and drive the adoption of industry best practices to ensure secure, scalable, and reliable operations.

The role emphasizes collaboration with development, QA, security, and operations, with a focus on automation, release engineering, and Agile delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 8+ years of experience in DevOps or a related role.
• Higher level relevant degree may substitute for experience.
• Proven experience with microservices, containerization, and cloud-native development.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain scalable CI/CD pipelines across cloud, on-premises, and hybrid environments.
• Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration management for consistent environments.
• Optimize deployment workflows for repeatable releases and varied product requirements.
• Monitor and improve system performance and reliability across distributed systems.
• Collaborate with development, QA, and product teams to align deployment strategies with security and architectural goals.
• Drive continuous improvement by evaluating new technologies and documenting best practices.
• Work as part of an Agile team to rapidly provide operational capabilities to the field.
