Job summary

Sierra Nevada Corporation is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to lead design, implementation, and optimization of CI/CD pipelines and cloud infrastructure. You will mentor the DevOps team, enforce best practices, and drive automation across multiple deployment environments to support mission critical systems.

Ideal candidates bring 8+ years in DevOps, strong Linux experience, and hands-on expertise with Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud services.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 8+ years of experience in DevOps or related role.
• Higher level degree may substitute for experience.
• In the absence of a degree, a minimum of 12 years of related experience is required.
• Experience with Linux and cloud vendors.
• Strong release engineering, CI/CD pipelines, and Agile experience.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain scalable CI/CD pipelines across cloud, on‑prem, and hybrid environments.
• Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration management for reliable environments.
• Standardize deployment workflows for repeatable releases across product variations.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and improve system performance and reliability.
• Collaborate with development, QA, security, and operations teams to ensure seamless delivery.
