Job summary

Sierra Nevada Corporation is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to lead design, implementation, and optimization of CI/CD pipelines and cloud infrastructure. You will mentor the DevOps team, enforce best practices, and drive automation across multiple deployment environments to support mission critical systems.

Ideal candidates bring 8+ years in DevOps, strong Linux experience, and hands-on expertise with Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud services.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
8+ years of experience in DevOps or related role.
Higher level degree may substitute for experience.
In the absence of a degree, a minimum of 12 years of related experience is required.
Experience with Linux and cloud vendors.
Strong release engineering, CI/CD pipelines, and Agile experience.

Responsibilities

Design, implement, and maintain scalable CI/CD pipelines across cloud, on‑prem, and hybrid environments.
Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration management for reliable environments.
Standardize deployment workflows for repeatable releases across product variations.
Monitor, troubleshoot, and improve system performance and reliability.
Collaborate with development, QA, security, and operations teams to ensure seamless delivery.
